skinny gurl
omg. I saw my first operation today. would have been nice if it was a straighforward healthy op but it wasn't. masses of dead tissue and infection.
I can't believe that i actually saw that!
wow.
it's amazing what surgeons can do. a bit scary in some ways, but nevertheless amazing.
nurses amaze me with how they can holistically care. and anesthetists seem to be massive time wasters. (ie. reading newspapers, magazines, talking HEAPS of shit...) that's scary man... they have a hard out important job!
i can't even describe to you what i saw and how this makes me feel.

I am so honoured to be allowed to see these things and embark on these people's journeys with them :)

A woman who had had a breat reconstruction and something done on her stomach (i forget what it was), she has massively dehised wounds that were infected as. like black. the surgery was just removing the dead tissues and trying to see if they could save the reconstruction. it was amazing.

I have a new love. it's surgery. i never knew i loved surgery until that moment.
